Sig:Ar:Tyr - Godsaga

NORTHERN WARRIORS#Style: Dark Ambient / Folk Metal
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Origin: Canada (Ontario)
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Lyrics: Norse Mythology, Heathenism
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Year: 2010

The concept for SIG:AR:TYR came into being in 2003 as a musical project dedicated to the dark, grim history and mythology of Northern Europe. SIG:AR:TYR initially wanted to create very heavy and atmospheric music without the use of typical metal instruments such as electric guitar, bass, and drums. In late 2003, SIG:AR:TYR released The Stranger, a six song atmospheric journey revolving around the acoustic guitar and an accompanying short story about a mystical encounter with Odin.

October Falls - A Collapse Of Faith

NORTHERN WARRIORS#Style: Dark Metal, Folk/Ambient
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Origin: Finland (Helsinki)
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Lyrics: Wolves, Nature, Fire, Blood
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Year: 2010

October Falls was formed in 2001 in Finland and recorded the first demos later at the same year, although that demo was sent only to a few individuals.
After the recordings and a small break, new music was composed and the whole material slowly turned from melodic Dark Metal to all acoustic, that later was released as a part of October Falls “Tuoni”. After releasing another album in the vein of “Tuoni”, the style changed to folk based Black Metal with the EP “The Streams of the End”.

Throes Of Dawn - Quicksilver Clouds

NORTHERN WARRIORS#Style: Dark Metal
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Origin: Finland
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Lyrics: Death, Loss, Sorrow
NORTHERN WARRIORS#Year: 2004

Throes of Dawn is a metal band from Vaasa, Finland, formed back in 1994 by Henri Koivula (vocals) and Jani Heinola (synth). Throes of Dawn’s music could be described as emotional dark metal with a progressive touch. Their sound is built on the combination of synths and guitars with screaming vocals and clean vocals. The lyrical concept of Throes of Dawn is often poetic and it deals with the deeper and darker aspects of the human psyche; like solitude, broken dreams and despair.
