It was in autumn 2001 when Black Death Metal fanatic Mors Dalos Ra (guitars, vocals and keys) put some guitar lines unto tape which later became the infamous Necromantic Doom demo. Always possessed by things as the occult and dark wisdom involved in music, his style seems to be primitive old school on the one hand, but is totally disturbing and devastating on the other.

Thurisaz began as a quartet in May 1997, with Peter on guitar and grunts, Mattias on guitar and screams, Pepijn on drums and Lars on bass. In 1999 Kobe joined on synths, an event that defined the sound of Thurisaz in the stages to come. After several demos, the band released it’s first full-album "Scent of a Dream" in 2004. The album sums up the best Thurisaz has to offer: very variated, high standard avantgarde doom-metal with lots of emotion and depth. The reviews were really amazing and no one could really understand why this band hadn’t been signed yet.

"Lantlôs" is Middle High German and means "homeless" (literally "without homeland"). Herbst chose the name because he feels not at home in Germany or anywhere.

While the blend of folky interludes with blistering black metal passages is hardly nothing new, Dråpsnatt does it with a flair rarely found in the genre. With some genuinely interesting ideas and the presence of an almost viking metal approach to composing “epic” compositions, “Hymner till undergången” sets itself apart from the pack, making it a worthy listen.

Nehëmah is a French black metal band who have released three full length albums: 'Light of a Dead Star', 'Shadows from the Past' and 'Requiem Tenebrae', two demos: 'Light of a Dead Star' and 'Nehëmah', one split 7" EP with Vultyr, and one live album: 'In November Live...'. The demo and full length of the same name share some of the same songs but have different tracks between the two that make them seperate each. Started in 1992, the band is still active.
