Skyclad is a British heavy metal band with strong folk influences in their music, some would say they invented the genre of “folk metal”. They were formed by former Sabbat vocalist Martin Walkyier, and the Pariah guitarist Steve Ramsey in 1990 to represent the “ultimate pagan metal band”. From the start, they have incorporated a diverse range of influences from British folk music to German thrash metal which has fed their constantly evolving sound. They are widely considered the inventors of folk metal.

The concept for SIG:AR:TYR was created by Daemonskald during the 34th year of his existence (2003 CE) to provide a musical vehicle for his thoughts and writings of the mysteries of life and beyond life.

The rune word set SIG:AR:TYR embodies three major aspects of existence: Chaos-Balance-Order. This can also be thought of as Fire-Matter-Ice. The words SIG:AR:TYR are the names of three runes that embody these characteristics in one form or another. These forces form the core materials of existence. SIG:AR:TYR is dedicated to the dark, grim history and mythology of Northern Europe.

Radigost is a band from Russia (Moscow).
It is rather hard to determine their music style. In their music they use elements from different styles, such as Black, Doom and Death metal. Their music can’t be related to any definite style

Radigost was founded in autumn 1994 by guitarist Rimmon and bass player Alastor. They played slow doom-metal then, so this music seems very uninteresting and simple now because of their low instruments-playing skills during that time. Vocals were performed by Alvis who was taken soon after the band’s creation.

Unleashed is a Swedish Death Metal band formed in 1989 by bassist Johnny Hedlund after he left Nihilist for personal reasons. The band was one of the first death metal groups to write songs about history and Scandinavian culture instead of the violent and negative lyrics that are common in the genre.

NORTHERN WARRIORS#Year: 2005

Italtian Epic Viking Metal band, whose lyrical themes mainly deal with those of Ragnarok. They have only released one album (“Nordheim” in 2005). Their style is somewhat reminiscent of Hammerheart-era Bathory, with slow epic songs performed with clean vocals.

The Gjallarhorn is a giant horn owned by Heimdal, the keeper of the rainbowbridge, Bifrost, in the Norse mythology. At Ragnarok, the end of the world, Heimdal will blow it.
